Less than a year ago I purchased a 160Gig 7200rpm laptop drive. Two months ago it failed. Dead. A coaster for a drink.
My assistant sent it in under an RMA but sent it in not the “proper” Hitachi way.
Not only did they refuse it, they voided the warranty.
It was dead when it got sent in and they refused it anyway.
I admit to the error but it was DEAD!
Instead of caring about a customer they found a loop hole to not have to honor a warranty. Still want one of their hard drives?
It probably would have cost them under $5 to send me another drive; instead I want them to lose thousands in future coustomers that they would rather not service.
I have NEVER had a problem with Western Digital.
Consider yourself warned.
I ordered one of these and it performed great. Ordered another and it took a long time for Amazon to ship. It arrived completely dead. Then went to Amazon for a replacement. A few days later, received an email from Amazon that they will NOT replace it. If I return it, they will process a refund about 4 weeks after it is returned! This is really bad customer service.
Hitachi es una marca reconocida en unidades de Disco Duro y esta vez saco al mercado un producto de gran capacidad de almacenamiento y sobre todo con la ventaja de su facil instalacion, mis hijos pueden instalar sus juegos preferidos y no preocuparse que el espacio estaba disminuyendo como sucedia con los discos de 250 Mb, hoy hay capacidad de sobra para almacenar juegos, fotos, videos, en fin este producto vale la pena comprarlo y su precio esta relativamente bajo por lo cual se aprovecha al maximo calidad, precio y duracion.
Drive died after 4 months of minimal use.
Avoid at all costs.
