I got one of these enclosures for a Mac Mini I use as a file server. I wanted a fast interface, and the Firewire-800 does the trick just fine. Between that and RAIDing the drives, it’s exactly what I was looking for at a fair price. Oh, and the enclosure also has a cooling fan, which is helpful since the system is on 24/7.
