Bought this item over a year ago and as long as you only use the first two bays you'll be fine. I started with 2x1TB seagate HDDs in FAST mode (RAID 1), then bought two more several months later with the intention of having a 4TB volume, but no. The last two bays continually dismount the HDDs and the unit will only create 2x2TB volumes instead of 1x4TB volume. Despite multiple attempts and several calls to Galaxy the issue has not resolved itself. Still waiting on an RMA and instructions on getting a replacement. Oh and customer support is lousy.

I have been struggling with this product for about 10 months now, and my warranty is almost up. I have received ZERO usability from this product AT ALL. Enclosure does not recognize drive capacities properly, and formats to 1/2, or 1/4 the appropriate size for the drives I'm using. Can't get it to work, and then error lights start blinking on the front of the device. It took GMG support EIGHT MONTHS to replace the device, which required about 40 emails on my part (they would only reply to 1-in-4, and most replies were UNHELPFUL). Replacement device behaves exactly the same. Now, GMG insists the replacement was "tested" before being sent to me, and that they've tried to help me, but its my problem. TERRIBLE PRODUCT! TERRIBLE COMPANY! DO NOT BUY!
