The single worst purchase I’ve ever made on Amazon. Cheap, loud, clunky and extremely fragile. It comes with a flimsy stand and – warning – if you even knock into it slightly while it’s playing it will break. The company was unwilling to do a return (as was Amazon), even though it was only three months old. NOT recommended by any means. I lost all my personal documents, photos, music, etc – AND I’m out $[...] bucks. A piece of junk. Don’t buy it.
I’ve had this product for about a year. Today, it died without warning. Bye bye, data.
I have had my HD for almost two years now and not a single problem, except the time shortly after purchase when I switched it on AFTER turning on my computer (computer does not recognize device under such conditions when linked to the esata input-and I almost returned it) also DO NOT turn off until AFTER you have turned of your computer.
A faultless, smooth running device I highly recommend this product, I have several HD’s and this one is by far the best.
Drive workes great. Plugged it into my Vista 64 bit sistem and it work right away with no problems.
I bought this for my TIVO HD unit. TIVO rejected the item, since on the my DVR expander will work on my version of TIVO. The drive was quick and quiet, i used to transfer about 20GB of data.
